The Senior Director of Workforce Development at Future Plans will lead the design and implementation of innovative workforce programs that align with our mission to enhance individual and community strengths. This role requires extensive collaboration with local, state, and federal partners to ensure the delivery of dynamic workforce solutions that align with business needs while contributing to community prosperity and individual success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Direction

Oversee the strategic development and implementation of workforce programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and the community and business needs.
Build and maintain partnerships with local government, businesses, and community organizations to enhance workforce development initiatives.

Program Development and Evaluation

Lead the planning, development, and evaluation of training programs to meet evolving industry demands and community needs.
Ensure programs are data-driven, evidence-based, and adhere to best practices for workforce development.

Partnership and Collaboration

Act as the primary liaison for Future Plans in discussions with local, state, and federal workforce agencies and partners.
Collaborate with local, state and national businesses to integrate emerging workforce trends into program offerings.

Compliance and Reporting

Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
Prepare and manage program budgets, oversee financial processes, and deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders.

Team and Stakeholder Engagement

Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing cross-functional team of internal employees and external partners to achieve workforce development objectives.
Engage with community stakeholders to ensure that workforce programs are accessible and responsive to diverse needs.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Pioneer efforts to incorporate innovative strategies and best practices in workforce development.
Lead initiatives to enhance the work experience through projects focused on quality and equity.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field or equivalent experience;
Over 10 years of management experience in workforce development or a related sector.
Proven expertise in program management, with a strong focus on community engagement and partnership building.
Extensive experience navigating and influencing workforce systems at local, state, or federal levels.
Experience leading organizational development efforts internally at an organization is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of influencing diverse groups and stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis, program evaluation, and report preparation.
Ability to develop innovative solutions and strategies to address workforce development challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
