Stand 1st Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement agencies by providing life-saving ballistic shields to officers and schools across the nation. Our mission is rooted in service, safety, and community—equipping those who protect us with the tools they need to return home safely.

The Fundraising Director will play a critical leadership role in developing and executing the foundation’s fundraising strategy. This individual will lead efforts to secure funding from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants to sustain and grow our mission. We are looking for a results-driven professional who is passionate about law enforcement, experienced in donor relations, and eager to drive impact through meaningful partnerships.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
Lead grant research, writing, and reporting processes to secure government and private funding.
Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify funding opportunities and leverage existing networks.
Manage donor database, track contributions, and ensure accurate and timely acknowledgments.
Produce regular fundraising reports and forecasts for executive leadership.
Represent the Stand 1st Foundation at events, conferences, and in community outreach as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor development, and strategic planning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with CRM systems and donor databases.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term donor relationships.
Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and reporting practices.
Passion for supporting law enforcement and the mission of Stand 1st Foundation.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in fundraising or development roles.
Experience working with law enforcement agencies or first responder communities.
