Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and strategic Associate Director of Development to play a pivotal role in advancing our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This position will focus on cultivating relationships with current and prospective donors, overseeing donor stewardship initiatives, and supporting the organization's growth through innovative fundraising strategies. With your expertise in development operations and your commitment to fostering meaningful connections, you will help enhance our impact and secure vital resources for organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to meet revenue goals and support organizational initiatives.
Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporations, and foundations through personalized outreach and engagement strategies.
Stewardship Programs: Oversee donor stewardship initiatives to ensure gratitude and recognition while maintaining strong connections and loyalty.
Grant Management: Identify grant opportunities, assist in writing proposals, and track grant outcomes to maximize funding potential.
Events Coordination: Collaborate on the planning and execution of fundraising and donor appreciation events that align with organizational objectives.
Development Communications: Lead the creation of fundraising appeals, campaign materials, and donor-facing communications to effectively convey impact and inspire giving.
Database Management: Maintain accurate records in donor databases, tracking interactions, contributions, and reporting metrics for evaluation.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, leadership, and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment on fundraising goals.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or development roles, demonstrating measurable success in revenue generation.
Donor-Centric Approach: Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of cultivating and stewarding donors at various giving levels.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy in tracking and managing donor information.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to analyze donor trends and develop data-driven strategies to enhance fundraising outcomes.
Communication Excellence: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating compelling donor-focused content.
Team Player: Collaborative nature and ability to inspire and work alongside colleagues to achieve shared goals.
Technological Savvy: Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
